The Australian Government is now in a caretaker period in advance of the forthcoming election. Until a new government is sworn in, government operations are conducted in accordance with the caretaker conventions.

This year’s NAIDOC week theme ‘For Our Elders’ recognises the important role Elders have played, and continue to play, in First Nations communities and families.

Niki Chen recently participated in the National Foundation for Australia-China Relations’ program with Charles Darwin University, connecting students with Indigenous elders and country through cultural immersion tours in the NT.
